Liberation of Auschwitz SCR

Both the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s article, “Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camps,” and section eight of Elie Wiesel’s memoir, Night, provide descriptions of the liberations of concentration camps nearing the end of WWII. Each text has a different impact on readers. Why might an author choose to write a narrative description of a historical event rather than an informational text? Using evidence from BOTH texts, analyze the benefits of writing a narrative versus an informational text. Think about the effect that each type of text has on a reader.
